Hurghada News is an independent English-language news and guide platform covering Egypt’s Red Sea coast — from El Gouna and Hurghada down through Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi, Soma Bay and Safaga to El Quseir and Marsa Alam.

We cover what actually matters to the people who live, work, invest and holiday here: local news and breaking updates, new openings and closures, events, business and development, travel, the marine environment, and community life.

Our aim is to be practical, fast and credible — a clear source of what’s happening on the coast, in plain English. We are not affiliated with any government body, developer or tour operator.

The German edition

Germans and Austrians are among the largest visitor groups on this coast, so the guide, the directory and the events calendar are published in German as well as English — written in German rather than run through a machine. Our news reporting remains in English for now.
