18 October 2026

A comprehensive medical convoy at the Mostaamara health unit in El Quseir examined 146 people free of charge, Sada El-Balad reported on 18 October.

The convoy ran under the presidential Hayah Karima (Decent Life) initiative and was organised between the Red Sea Governorate, the Health Affairs Directorate and the therapeutic convoys administration, on the instructions of Governor Dr Walid El-Barki and the head of El Quseir city, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Hassan Saqr.

What the convoy offered

  • internal medicine, dental and paediatric clinics
  • family planning services
  • early detection of high blood pressure
  • the laboratory tests needed alongside those examinations

Examinations and treatment services were provided at no cost. The governorate presents the convoys as a way of taking medical services to the areas that need them most and easing the cost of care for residents.

The report did not announce a date for the next convoy in El Quseir.
