CairoScene: Nuba Brings Nubian Flavour to El Gouna
Orascom's Nuba development brings Nubian-inspired domes, earthy colours and a 2,500-square-metre sandy pool to central El Gouna, according to CairoScene's SceneHome.

El Gouna's newest neighbourhood takes its cues from Nubia. Nuba, a residential development by Orascom Development, reinterprets the architecture of Upper Egypt's Nubian villages for the Red Sea coast, according to a feature published in March on SceneHome, CairoScene's home and design platform.
The design language runs to domes, curved surfaces and sandy-toned finishes, with terracotta, ochre and faded pastel shades layered across the buildings, the feature reports.
At the heart of the site sits a 2,500-square-metre sandy pool, with the development's buildings and facilities arranged around it.
Wellness and community spaces are woven through the plan: meditation gardens, yoga spaces, landscaped courtyards, a gym and a spa. According to SceneHome, the layout deliberately favours inward-facing courtyards, pathways and shared areas designed to encourage connection.
Nuba is centrally positioned within El Gouna — close to the town's busier areas and within reach of Downtown, the feature notes, while keeping a quieter, more secluded character.
The development is managed by Orascom Property Management on a fully serviced model, with reception, concierge and dedicated housekeeping — pitched, in SceneHome's description, as closer to living in a boutique resort than maintaining a home.
