Hurghada airport is reconfiguring its domestic halls, operator says

The Egyptian Airports Company says it is enlarging the sterile area in domestic departures and rerouting passenger flow and service counters. No timetable has been reported.

Work is under way inside the domestic terminal at Hurghada International Airport. The Egyptian Airports Company says it is enlarging the sterile area in domestic departures and reconfiguring passenger routes and service counters to clear bottlenecks at peak hours.

Company chairman Wael Al-Nashar inspected the domestic departure and arrival halls recently to check progress and operational readiness, and stressed that the work should be matched to actual passenger demand.

The company describes the changes as making better use of the terminal space already there rather than adding a building, as passenger numbers rise through the winter travel season. No start or completion date for the work has been reported, and the account does not say whether passengers using the domestic halls face temporary changes in the meantime.
