Governor Walid El-Barqi has moved Ahmed Gabr from Hurghada's South district to head Hurghada city, sent Mohamed El-Banna from Shalatin to lead Safaga and moved Ahmed Dongol from Safaga to Shalatin, in a transfer list that also fills a row of posts at the governorate head office.

Red Sea governor Walid El-Barqi has issued a round of internal transfers covering departments at the governorate's head office and the local units of its cities and districts. The governorate says the aim is to bring in new people, develop the way the administration works and raise the quality of services for residents.
The city and district posts are the ones residents deal with directly: the city chief heads the local unit that takes everyday requests and complaints.
