Marsa Alam International airport is scheduled to receive 217 international flights in the week that began on Saturday and runs to Friday, according to Sayed El-Gabry, head of the Red Sea Chamber of Tourism Companies, who cited the airport's arrival and operating schedules.

The increase in incoming international flights with the start of the winter season is put at about 30%. No comparison period is given for that figure, and the 217 flights are scheduled arrivals rather than confirmed landings.

Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and Italy lead the European markets on the current schedules, El-Gabry said.

The numbers describe flight schedules only. They are not a count of passengers, hotel bookings or occupancy, and no such figures were given alongside them.

Based on reporting by Al-Masry Al-Youm, whose article page was read in full. The flight figure and the market list are attributed in that report to Sayed El-Gabry, head of the Red Sea Chamber of Tourism Companies, citing the airport's schedules. No airport or airline operating notice was available to us, and the roughly 30% increase is given without a stated comparison period.
