Cloud is moving in over Upper Egypt and the Red Sea, with rain expected in several governorates within hours, the Egyptian daily Al-Watan reported on Saturday afternoon.
That is the whole of the report as it reached Hurghada News. Al-Watan's item does not name which governorates are expected to see rain, does not say how much is forecast, and does not say when it would clear — so whether Hurghada, Safaga, El Quseir or Marsa Alam fall inside the band is not stated.
Rain is rare on this coast, and the consequence is usually drainage rather than the weather itself: water comes off the hills quickly and stands on the roads. This site reported on 2 October that the Red Sea Governorate had cleared Hurghada's flood defences ahead of the rainy season, including three dams, four lakes and the culverts on the Ras Ghareb road.
No road closures, flight disruption or beach restrictions had been reported in connection with the forecast at the time of writing.
