The Red Sea Education Directorate has declared itself ready for the start of the new academic year, Ahram Gate reports.
Ahead of term, school water tanks across the governorate's schools have been disinfected, and the director of education carried out a surprise inspection of schools in Hurghada, according to Al-Masry Al-Youm.
Neither report gives a number of schools covered by the tank disinfection, names the schools visited during the inspection, or says what the inspection found. No pupil numbers and no confirmed first day of term were given.
- Readiness for the new academic year declared by the Red Sea Education Directorate
- School water tanks disinfected across the governorate
- Unannounced inspection of Hurghada schools by the director of education
For Red Sea families, the tank disinfection is the concrete item here: drinking water at schools has been a recurring concern along the coast, and it is the one piece of preparation both outlets single out by name.
