Red Sea Hotels Expect a Strong Fourth Quarter, With More European Flights From October

Tourism operators on the Red Sea expect hotel occupancy in Hurghada and Marsa Alam to rebound strongly in the final quarter of the year, with European flight numbers rising from October, according to Youm7.

The same report says the coast is preparing to receive groups of Polish and Italian visitors. Akhbar El-Yom reports separately that Red Sea hotels are gearing up for a strong winter season, with Hurghada and Marsa Alam both expecting new waves of arrivals.

Neither report puts a number on the expected occupancy rate, names the airlines adding October capacity, or says how many additional flights are involved. Both are framed as expectations from people working in the tourism business rather than as published booking data.

The forecast follows a strong summer. This site reported that Hurghada's hotels logged a third straight month of full occupancy, and that Hurghada airport handled 18,200 flights over the summer, up 5.2 percent.

For residents, a busy fourth quarter means the seasonal work that comes with it — hotel shifts, airport transfers, dive boats, restaurant covers. For visitors, more European flights from October usually means more choice of route and departure day. Whether it also means cheaper seats depends on how quickly capacity grows against demand, and neither report gives prices.
