The Red Sea in June
Summer proper. Very hot, very bright, and the sea is bathwater — which is either the point or the problem.

June is hot in a way that reorganises a day. Mornings and evenings are for being outside; the middle is for shade, air conditioning or water. The wind takes the edge off and is the reason the coast is more tolerable than inland Egypt at the same temperature.
The sea at around 28°C means you can stay in almost indefinitely, which changes what a beach day is — less lying down, more floating.
Diving is excellent and no suit is a burden. Visibility is typically very good.

In the water
28°C, which is where a wetsuit becomes about abrasion rather than warmth and a shorty or a rash vest is enough for anything. Visibility can dip slightly with summer plankton, and it is still better than most of the world's diving. The deep south is where the summer pelagic season is most talked about.
How long the days are
The longest days of the year, just under fourteen hours. First light before five and still bright at seven — the reason a June boat day fits three dives comfortably.
The catch
Do not underestimate it. Heatstroke and dehydration are the most common reasons visitors need a doctor here, and the wind hides how much sun you are taking. Shade, water, and a hat are not optional from June onwards.
Or the month either side
July is one degree hotter and feels considerably worse because the nights stop cooling down. May is the same water two degrees cooler with afternoons you can still use. If the heat is the deciding factor, June is the last month of the year that most northern Europeans describe as hot rather than as a problem.
