Wizz Air has begun operating new scheduled flights this week from five Polish cities to Hurghada and Marsa Alam, part of ten new Polish routes the airline is adding to Egyptian Red Sea resorts.

The cities are Warsaw Modlin, Katowice, Gdansk, Krakow and Wroclaw, and the ten routes also take in Sharm el-Sheikh. Wizz Air says the services run year-round as regular scheduled flights rather than seasonal charters.

The first Modlin flight to Hurghada took off on Sunday, as did the first service to Hurghada from Wroclaw. Passengers from Gdansk can fly to Marsa Alam from Monday and to Sharm el-Sheikh from Tuesday, and Krakow starts its own Marsa Alam service on Tuesday.

Flights from Modlin serve all three resorts three times a week. Katowice has three flights a week to Hurghada and three to Marsa Alam, and two a week to Sharm el-Sheikh.
