Corendon Takes Over Graz-Hurghada Winter Flights After Eurowings Pulls Out
Corendon Airlines will fly Graz to Hurghada twice a week this winter, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 14:00, after Eurowings withdrew from the route at short notice, Graz Airport said.

Corendon Airlines will operate the direct link between Graz and Hurghada in the coming winter schedule, taking over from Eurowings, Aviation.Direct reported, citing an announcement by the Graz airport management on 29 June.
The route runs twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, departing Graz at 14:00, according to Aviation.Direct and Graz Airport's own statement. The reshuffle became necessary because Eurowings withdrew from the route at short notice.
"We are very pleased that we quickly found a replacement for Eurowings on this route, which is very popular for bookings from Graz," Graz Airport managing director Wolfgang Grimus said.
Christian Hein, head of sales and marketing at Corendon Airlines, said Hurghada has for years been one of the most sought-after winter destinations for German-speaking holidaymakers, and that the Graz link keeps a comfortable direct flight to the Red Sea available to travellers from Styria.
Aviation.Direct reported that the takeover consolidates Corendon's position in the Austrian market, where the carrier operates at five commercial airports. It already serves Heraklion on Crete from Graz twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Neither the airport nor the airline published an aircraft type, seat capacity or the date of the first winter rotation.
