An official Red Sea governorate delegation is taking part in the 2026 International Tourism Agents Conference in Jiujiang, in China's Jiangxi province, which runs from 2 to 5 November.

The delegation is headed by Dr Magda Hanna, the governorate's deputy governor, accompanied by Haitham Fares, director of the governor's office. The trip follows an official invitation issued in October 2026 by the China Foreign Cultural and Tourism Exchange Centre.

The conference is organised by the secretariat-general of the Silk Road Tourist Cities Alliance together with China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and brings together senior international travel agents and investors to discuss cooperation.

Hanna described the alliance as an important platform for opening tourism investment prospects and for presenting the tourism and environmental assets of the governorate's cities, Hurghada first among them, and said the governorate is building sustainable international partnerships to strengthen its standing on the global tourism map.

The delegation attended the joint opening ceremony and took part in business coordination sessions and bilateral meetings with travel agents and investors. A visit to a themed exhibition, "Magical Silk Road — Connecting the World", and tours covering local scenery and the ceramics of Jiujiang and Jingdezhen are scheduled for 4 and 5 November.
