South Hurghada recovers 7,200 square metres of state land in the Craftsmen area

The district says 6,000 square metres were cleared of an encroachment and another 1,200 recovered where state land had been walled off, with a 90-square-metre illegal roof removed nearby.

South Hurghada district says it has recovered 7,200 square metres of state land in the Craftsmen area and removed an illegal roof structure in the neighbouring supplies area.

The district put the recovery in two parts: 6,000 square metres where an encroachment was cleared, and a further 1,200 square metres in the same area that had been taken over by enclosing it with an unlicensed wall.

In the Mustalzamat supplies area, a 90-square-metre illegal roof was removed.

Ayman Sultan, head of South Hurghada district, led the morning field tour and instructed the deputy district chief and the planning, encroachment and property sections to take legal action and to deal with violations as they are found. The campaign followed directives from Governor Walid El-Barqi and instructions from Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gabr, the head of Hurghada city.

Sultan said field monitoring would continue regularly and that encroachment on state land would not be allowed to spread.
