Belarusian carrier Belavia will resume charter flights between Gomel and Hurghada from 27 October, the airline's press service has announced, with state news agency BelTA among the outlets reporting the move.

The charters will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, spaced to give holiday stays of ten to eleven nights, according to Belarusian outlet Belnovosti.

Belnovosti reported that the tour operator Intercity is acting as consolidator for the programme, with travellers directed to tour operators for booking details rather than ordinary scheduled tickets.

The allowance on the route covers one checked bag of up to 23kg plus 5kg of hand luggage within 55x40x25cm dimensions, per the same report.

Belarusian citizens can obtain an Egyptian visa on arrival at Hurghada airport, Belnovosti noted.

The Gomel link is part of a wider push by Belavia into leisure destinations: the carrier has launched holiday programmes to Jordan, Oman, Tunisia and Thailand across 2025 and 2026, according to Belnovosti. For Hurghada, the restart restores a direct connection to Belarus just ahead of the winter season.
