El Gouna is to host two international fishing championships in 2027
The Red Sea governor said an international championship runs 3–8 January and the third clubs world championship 20–27 June. The national championship closed in El Gouna with Sporting Alexandria first.

El Gouna is to host two international fishing championships next year, Red Sea governor Walid Al-Barqi announced at the close of the national championship in the town on Saturday.
An international championship is set for El Gouna from 3 to 8 January, and the third clubs world fishing championship in the Red Sea for 20 to 27 June, both in 2027.
The national championship that ended on Saturday drew 14 teams with 70 competitors and 14 referees. Sporting Club of Alexandria won, Al-Nouby Al-Aam of Alexandria came second and El Gouna Club third.
The governor said the competitions must keep to environmental rules to protect the marine stocks the governorate depends on.
