South Hurghada district has closed and sealed three premises that were operating without the licences required by law, two of them in the Sheraton area and one in Al-Kawthar.

The district head assigned its shops and occupancy department to carry out the closures with the utility police, pursue legal action against the operators and check that the businesses do not resume trading unlicensed.

The district said the campaign carried out directives from Red Sea Governor Walid El-Barqi to intensify inspections of unlicensed premises, and that periodic field checks would continue.
